Australia's best premium food magazine – your favourite read – is out today and you won't be disappointed.
delicious. hits the surf in our latest issue of the magazine, a timely reminder that winter doesn’t have to by a time of doom and gloom. Our exclusive extract from Hayden Quinn and Dan Churchill’s Surfing the Menu: Next Generation is bound to bring a little summer to mid-winter, while managing editor Shannon Harley heads to one of the world’s great surfing destinations – Bali – to check out the ever-expanding MoVida tapas empire.
The July issue, now on sale, follows Matt Stone to the Yarra Valley, Ute Junker to Olympic Rio de Janeiro, and national restaurant critic Anthony Huckstep to the Apple Isle. The Huck has plenty of nice things to say about Hobart’s Aløft, and gets a little salty looking into Tasmania’s resurgent salt-making industry.
Meanwhile, delicious. Senior Food Editor Phoebe Wood tackles winter head-on with her cover recipe, a chicken parmigiana soup that warms you just by looking at it. “There must be some benefit to the colder months,” editor-in-chief Kerrie McCallum says, “and this is it.”
Massimo Bottura reached the summit of the culinary world this week when his Modena-based restaurant, Osteria Francescana, was named the best in the world. It’s the first Italian restaurant to top the prestigious World’s 50 Best Restaurants list and David Matthews’ interview with the Italian genius in this month’s issue shows why.

Guest chef Guillame Brahimi shows us how to create French classics at home, while Silvia Colloca does the same for Italian ones. Meanwhile, Matt Preston and Billie McKay both sing the praises of cauliflower. “There’s only so many kale chips a man can consume,” Matt explains. Billie calls the humble cauli “one of my all-time favourite vegetables.” We’ve also turned the delicious. test kitchen into a soup one especially for winter. If Phoebe’s chicken parmigiana soup doesn’t do it for you (and why wouldn’t it?!) then one of her other tonics for the soul is almost certainly bound to.
The July 2016 issue of delicious. is now on sale. Everyone’s embracing the guilty pleasure that is winter eating. Rug up, get the fire going and prepare yourself for another month of great food and great reading.
