Learn how to poach an egg every time thanks to this recipe from chef Darren Robertson of Three Blue Ducks. The secret is all in the timing.

Ingredients (3)

  • 100ml white vinegar
  • Woolworths Large Free Range Eggs
  • salt flakes and freshly ground black pepper

Method

  • 1.
    Boil water in a large saucepan, around 15cm. Turn down to a tremor. Add the vinegar.
  • 2.
    Crack an egg into a cup and gently pour into the water. Let it poach for a couple of minutes and take out with a slotted spoon.
  • 3.
    When you’re happy with your egg, drain on a paper towel, season and serve immediately.
