Fargo & Co has turned a stately 1907 heritage bank into a gorgeous show pony of a bar with 200 seats over two levels and a kitchen hustling some outstanding food. It plays up the bank theme to fun effect. Name-checking the famous Wells Fargo bank robberies in America, you’ll order signature sips such as the sake-soaked High Interest cocktail from teller bars. But on Sundays from 11am-2pm, in keeping with the New York tradition, there’s bottomless brunch. It’s high tea meets nightclub, with mostly women dressed to the nines sipping unlimited mimosas and free-flowing prosecco.
