At Ettie’s, classic, uncomplicated bistro-style food is enjoyed in a beautiful, historic venue located on Hobart’s Elizabeth Street strip.
It’s the place to go when you want a simple but perfectly done steak frites, a plate of fresh Blackman Bay oysters, or orecchiette pasta with winter greens and anchovy. Chef Vladimir Panevin’s cos with anchovy mayonnaise and Grana Padana is a firm favourite with locals, and his house-made salted caramel squares are a bite of heaven at the end of a meal.
Sommelier Alice Chugg also has you sorted with her immense knowledge of the wines that are displayed in racks along the walls.
