Like the inside of Barbie’s brain, this all-fluorescent pink Thai restaurant is built with fun, good times and Instagram shots in mind.

Settle into the pink banquette along the pink wall or a pink bar stool on the pink floor and embrace the playfulness. Start with a signature cocktail inspired by Phuket resorts – hello Ping Pong Colada and cocktail slushies – or choose a food-focused wine or beer from the affordable list, ready to pair with the nosh that’s the real star here.

Chef Khanittha “Bowyo” Muangsong’s menu is one built on her heritage, with family recipes and quirky reinterpretations coming together in an all-encompassing offering that moves from snacks like spring rolls and fried chicken ribs to stir-fries, salads, curries, rice and noodle dishes.

Betel leaves wrapped around a nest of salty-sour-sweet-spicy caramelised pork belly showcase the chef’s talent for creating nuance, complexity and balance, as does her signature Massaman curry, where beef cheeks linger in a macadamia-strewn sauce layered with cinnamon, nutmeg and cloves. This is a restaurant focused on flavour that will smack you between the eyes and have you hungry to return.
