A big part of The Star's restaurant arsenal since 2012, Sokyo continues to produce food as tasty as it is beautiful.
A big attention grabber in The Star’s hefty restaurant arsenal when it re-opened in 2012, Sokyo is everything you want in a high-end Japanese fine diner. Stunning interiors that look straight out of a Bond film, an in-house DJ pumping up-to-the-minute house to a swanky clientele — it’s what eating out should be all about.
Head chef Chase Kojima (ex-Nobu) continues to send out eye-catching and palette-thrilling dishes like Moreton Bay bug sashimi with Vegemite croutons, red snapper tempura, Riverina lamb rump with pickled white funghi and 30 different types of sashimi or nigiri.
The cocktail list is vast, the standout being the Chasing Kojima with yuzu sake, pink grapefruit, lemongrass and elderflower.
