Try the MasterChef "dessert king's" exciting new tea-infused creations!

It’s been a big year for Reynold Poernomo. After being dubbed MasterChef’s “dessert king” last year, the 22-year-old proved it by opening KOI Dessert Bar in Sydney’s Chippendale in January.

Now he’s teaming up with T2 on some out-there, tea-infused winter desserts.

“They approached me about doing something a bit new for winter and I jumped on board immediately,” Poernomo said. “I’ve always loved T2 and have been using their products – for drinking and cooking – for quite some time.”

Poernomo spent about a week developing the desserts – a panna cotta and an apple crumble – which he infused with T2’s Crème Brûlée and Apple Crumble teas, respectively.

Poernomo’s “Panna Brûlée” is characterised by its smoky, earthy flavours, he said. The apple crumble is notable for not looking at all like your grandmother’s version on the classic winter warmer.
