140 Glenayr Ave, Bondi Beach Like most good things in Bondi, Lox Stock and Barrel will likely come with a crowd and queue, but it’s worth the investment. The portions are hearty and always delicious; and you can take your sandwich (we highly recommend the homemade brisket pastrami, on a bagel, with Russian coleslaw and pickles) with a cup of home-made chicken soup for an extra hit of nourishment. Bowlarama will set you back around $20, but the combination of super foods – greens, seaweed, fermented veggies and activated nuts – and a hearty serve of avocado, crunchy quinoa toast and a couple of poachies – will keep you going all day. Not convinced about almond milk in coffee? But take an iced latte on Lox’s house-made milk, and you may rethink. It’s only just slightly sweet and super creamy.
