More than just another early opening espresso bar where city commuters can grab a quick caffeine hit, Sketch is working the evening crowd too with extended hours from Thursday to Sunday nights.
Blink and you could easily miss it.
Sketch is one of those little hole in the wall cafes that are popping up all over Sydney.
If you’re none the wiser, this one is just out of Manly’s CBD and tucked into the main road strip where there is a growing collection of small boutiques, lifestyle businesses and eateries.

Sketch aims big too, as it’s more than just another early opening espresso bar where city commuters can grab a quick caffeine hit on their early morning walk down to the wharf.
Sketch is working the evening crowd too with extended hours from Thursday to Sunday nights. Forget the coffee to go, nip in a and order a coffee and stay. Of course this time around, it’s coffee in disguise, lovingly dressed up as a espresso martini. Sketch serves this bar favourite with Jameson Irish whiskey.
The drinks menu also includes a floral G & T. Those flowery notes include elderflower and dried rose petals. The house made jam and fresh lime provide sweet and sour elements for the daiquiri.

Doing something different happens once a month. Sketch lays the tables and squeezes 20 foodies in on the last Sunday for a bookings-only fix of Indian food.
These Indian style degustation tapas nights take guests on a spice-laden journey right across the sub continent. The concept, which started at the end of 2017, gives Arora’s mother Sukh an opportunity to be creative with Indian food.
Each of the Hanji nights, as they’re called known, features eight or nine small dishes and glass of house red or white or a beer.

The all day menu has a couple of Indian dishes. Sambar idli is a southern Indian dish featuring steamed rice cakes which are dipped in a yellow lentil broth with mustard seeds. There’s even a vegetarian taco made with cheap as chips chickpeas and topped with chunky lime avocado and a tomato onion salsa. It’s a bit oily but tasty.
Sketch’s bestseller is a version of the classic egg and bacon roll. The tiny kitchen serves maple glazed bacon with sunny side up eggs and house made relish on a milk bun.
