Popolo serves concise, casual Italian cuisine bound to leave any diner happy.
Italian cuisine is the order of the day at this Rushcutters Bay restaurant, with the inner-city haunt originally serving food inspired by owner Flavio Carnevale’s country childhood.
Now, with recent recruit Naomi Lowry at the helm as head chef, the menu is pleasingly concise and much more casual. Start with the salumi of your choosing and from there try the carpaccio or burrata before weighing up whether to forgo mains for a traditional Naples-style pizza — either way you’ll be happy.
Must eat: Principessa pizza
