Alison is the News and Recipe Editor at delicious. She has more than 20 years of experience in print and online journalism, and holds a Bachelor of Creative Arts and a Master of Journalism from the University of Wollongong. 

Alison began her career as an eager young copy editor at Men’s Health magazine, where she also moonlighted as the magazine’s agony uncle, Dave the Barman. Since those heady early days, she has worked on numerous titles encompassing health, fitness and nutrition, including Women’s Health, Men’s Fitness and Australian Yoga Journal. 

However, as the years progressed (and her knees regressed), Alison decided it was time to focus purely on her main passion: cheese food. This has ultimately led to her current position at delicious., where she is blissfully happy, so long as no one asks her to put pineapple on a pizza or eat oysters.

Fun fact: Alison also has half a nursing degree under her belt. Ask her to take your blood pressure. Go on. That’ll really freak her out.
