An American cooking teacher, author and chef known for her home-style cooking. Joanne’s first book was released in 1994, called From Tapas to Meze, and since then she’s released a series a books for William Sonoma, among others.

In the US, she’s appeared on The Today Show and Good Morning America, as well as hosted a number of television series, including her most recent, Joanne Weir Gets Fresh, sharing culinary techniques.

In 2012, Joanne was appointed by Hillary Clinton and the State Department to the American Chef Corp, a group of 80 American chefs named to promote world relations through food.
