Rick first arrived on our TV screens, and in the pages of delicious., as the UK’s most enthusiastic seafood aficionado. Since the 1990s his business empire has expanded from one establishment in Padstow, Cornwall – these days nicknamed ‘Padstein’ – to a series of restaurants, food stores, a cookery school and hotel.

While the best of British fish was his first love, Rick’s TV series and cookbooks (he’s written more than 20) now cover his culinary adventures around the globe, from the canals of France to South-East Asia, India and most recently From Venice to Istanbul. Delicious. isn’t Rick’s only local connection either – he spends plenty of time here thanks to his Australian wife Sarah, and the pair also operate Rick Stein at Bannisters restaurant in the NSW south coast town of Mollymook.
