There’s more than one way to celebrate Sydney’s annual festival of light, music and ideas. Beyond the nightly strobe lighting, this year you can also get your hands on a number of colourful eats, the latest being a giant rainbow dumpling by Taiwanese chain, Din Tai Fung.

The massive multi-coloured bundle is seven times the size of its xiao long bao buddies, with each dumpling made by hand and steamed fresh to order.  While it may look a little brighter than usual, inside you’ll find the same soft pork and seafood filling in a rich, gelatinous broth. If you don’t want to risk popping it and getting washed away in a sea of pork juice, they also come with a straw for tapping into the precious liquid inside.

Available for $9.80, the limited edition giant rainbow dumpling will be available across all Din Tai Fung venues in Sydney and Melbourne from Friday 24 May to Thursday 6 June.
