Slurp's up at Supernormal, with a lunch deal to bowl you over.

Perched elegantly along the riverfront, Supernormal is a masterclass in merging southern dining royalty with Sunshine State splendour. For those familiar with Andrew McConnell’s Melbourne dining institution, Supernormal Brisbane brings many of the OG restaurant’s favourite aspects to the table, but there’s also a distinctly local flavour at play here.

Utilising the very best ingredients from close to the source, Supernormal Brisbane pays homage to South East Queensland’s produce, climate and lifestyle. The menu shares its lineage with Supernormal Melbourne – snacks, a raw bar and small plates to start (we’re pleased to see the New England lobster roll made the journey north); dumplings and Asian-inspired mains designed to share – however dishes like freshly caught coral trout from nearby tropical waters, Moreton Bay bugs and whole mud crabs unabashedly fly the Queensland colours.

Located on Queen Street’s riverfront alongside the historic Customs House and named on Condé Nast’s Traveller Hot List in 2025, Supernormal Brisbane has quickly established its place as an integral part of the city’s dynamic dining scene.

This May, Supernormal is welcoming winter with a weekday ramen special. A rich double chicken stock is slowly simmered overnight, infused with dried shiitake, kombu and white miso to create layers of flavour. To serve, the steaming hot broth is poured over tender noodles, and topped with grilled chicken, prawn and chicken dumplings, and a soy-marinated egg.  Best enjoyed at the bar for a quick but satisfying lunch, it goes down even better with an ice-cold Asahi on tap.

Available Monday to Friday for lunch only.
