Here's where and when you can try his food.

Crown is hosting one of the world’s most renowned chefs, Gaggan Anand, for a limited run of immersive dining events across Australia this autumn.

The Bangkok-based chef and the creative force behind Gaggan, recently crowned Asia’s best restaurant for 2025–26, is known for pushing the boundaries of modern Indian cuisine with playful, multi-sensory menus that blur the line between food and performance.

His Aussie debut will begin at Crown Sydney from April 28 to May 3, where guests can experience a 12-course degustation showcasing his bold, imaginative style, complete with a glass of Dom Pérignon. A progressive Indian lunch series will follow from May 1 to 3, while throughout the month, a bespoke bar and snack menu will take over the Crown Sydney’s rooftop bar and lounge, Cirq.

The experience then moves south to Crown Melbourne, where Anand will collaborate with Grant Smillie’s Marmont from May 6. Expect an eight-course menu of his most celebrated dishes, served in a high-energy setting where fine dining meets nightlife. As the evening unfolds, music and atmosphere take centre stage, with Grant Smillie joining Anand to soundtrack the experience.

Born in Kolkata and largely self-taught, Anand’s rise from humble beginnings to global acclaim is as compelling as his food. His cooking is fearless and deeply personal, an expression of culture, creativity and sheer audacity.

Tickets are limited for each event and will be available to book from March 30. American Express Centurion and Platinum Card Members will receive first access to tickets from 27 March.

If you missed out on the dinner seatings, you can still visit Cirq all month long to sample Gaggan’s exclusive snack menu.
