Rising up last year in the iconic 1960s double-decker dodecagon atop Canberra’s Red Hill lookout, the twinned restaurants Lunetta and Trattoria Lunetta offer modern Italian cuisine reinterpreted with Australian produce, against panoramic views across the lake and hills of the Capital.

A relaxed alternative to its fancier sister upstairs, Lunetta Trattoria combines sleek, tonal interior design with the warmth of a neighbourhood bistro and an Italian menu designed to share.

For May, Lunetta Trattoria is introducing Twilight at Trattoria, daily aperitivo sessions to mark the gentle transition between day and night.

From 4:30pm, settle in with a considered selection of aperitivo-style cocktails and seasonal dishes from the kitchen. Designed for social, unhurried catch-ups, it’s an excuse to ease into autumnal evenings  in a beautiful setting, and immerse yourself in Lunetta Trattoria’s measured approach to dining, one grounded in time, place, and quiet rituals.

Available from May 1 to 31, for all guests arriving between 4:30pm and 6pm. Diners can select from the curated Aperitivo Experience or the full a la carte offering. Bookings are recommended, subject to availability.
