This May, chef Khanh Ong is teaming up with Hands Down for a one-off street party and month-long snack collab.
On Thursday, May 7, the team will throw a party on Greeves Street, kicking off from 6pm with music curated by Hot Gold HiFi, Khanh’s nostalgia-fuelled snacks and signature cocktails by Hands Down’s talented bartenders, including the Gimlet No.Blue cocktail: with Archie Rose Bone Dry Gin, Marionette Blue Curacao, whole-fig verjus and rainwater madeira,
Khanh’s month-long menu includes playful riffs on classic dishes, like Vegemite on toast, fish and chips (with a little caviar because, why not?) and the cheese and kabana sticks of a million ’80s house parties, reborn here as a mortadella skewer.
No reservation needed. Hands Down accepts walk-ins only. Open from Tuesday to Thursday 4-11pm, and Saturday and Sunday 4pm to midnight.
