Applewood distillery has released a Coral Gin made from sea succulents and coastal botanicals

Depleted your lockdown liquor stores? Applewood distillery in Adelaide Hills has just released a new pretty-in-pink Coral Gin inspired by the Great Barrier Reef and its tropical surrounds.

The baby pink tipple is made from sweet native strawberry gum with spicy riberries and salty karkalla – a coastal succulent that adds a hit of salinity. Each bottle is hand-sealed with a one-of-a-kind pearlescent pink wax. Serving suggestions include a G&T, garnished with pink peppercorns and vanilla bean, or combine it with pineapple juice, cream and soda to make a Coral Gin fizz.

To show their commitment to Australia’s coastal environments, Applewood is donating a portion of its profits to the Great Barrier Reef’s restoration.

Applewood Coral Gin is priced at $70 for a 500ml bottle from applewooddistillery.com.au.
