Tell grandad: Bundaberg Rum has just launched a Bundy & Sarsaparilla premix

Bundaberg Rum.

There's a new tinnie for you to try.

Move over Bundy & Cola, there’s a new (and also very, very old) premix in town and it’s made using grandad’s favourite soft drink – sarsaparilla.

For all the young’uns that don’t know what sarsaparilla is, it’s a fizzy drink from back in the day, made from sarsaparilla root, liquorice root and molasses – sounds delicious, doesn’t it?

The new tipple is said to taste of bittersweet vanilla, caramel, wintergreen, and liquorice, and is best enjoyed over ice with a slice of lime.

“It’s getting to the pointy end of the footy season after a year of so many ups and downs, on so many fronts,” a statement from Bundaberg Rum said. “To make sure we finish the season on a very delicious up, the team at Bundaberg Distillery decided to launch a limited edition Bundaberg Original Up Rum and Sarsaparilla, just in time for footy finals and State of Origin!”

The new limited edition Bundaberg Rum and Sarsaparilla is priced at $27.99 for a six-pack of 375ml cans. It is available to purchase from select bottle stores from now until November.
