Serve it at your next summer garden party.
“La tavola lunga” – or the long table – has been part of the heritage of De Bortoli Wines since it was founded in 1928 by Vittorio De Bortoli. The idea: a hospitable place for family and workers to gather and chat each day.
And as we enter summer and the season of group celebrations, the company’s new Rosé Rosé is the perfect drink for your long table.
The King Valley wine, which has Italian sangiovese as the main component, comes from the hands of Leanne De Bortoli, one of Australia’s foremost producers of pale, dry rosé wines, and chief winemaker husband Steve Webber. It has already been voted the Chief Judge’s Most Exciting Wine at the Australian Italian Varieties Wine Awards.
The fruit has been grown specifically for the wine. Four hours of skin contact, gentle pressing and warm fermentation deliver a drink that’s pale, textural and bone dry. Flavourwise, expect notes of peach, pomegranate and wild herbs.
It’s the ideal accompaniment to Mediterranean and North African flavours, as well as tapas and charcuterie.
Rosé Rosé is available at leading liquor stores around the country with an RRP of $22.
