The all-day tea party will include a loose-leaf tea market, cold brew nitro-infused teas, bubble tea croissants and tea cocktails by Four Pillars Gin.
A tea festival dedicated to the city’s second favourite hot beverage will pop-up at Melbourne’s Meat Market this July.
If you’re looking to switch up your English Breakfast, the festival will include a tea market, where you can sip your way through rare, pure and exotic blends, including cold brew nitro-infused teas, high-altitude teas, Australian-grown teas and healthy herbal tisanes. Want to know whether you end up kicking your coffee habit or not? There will also be free tea leaf readings by Annie O’Reilly, an 8th generation tasseomancist.
New to the fes-tea-val, will be Four Pillars Gin, who have created two alcoholic tea cocktails just for the event. Patisserie LuxBite will also join the tea trade with their famous matcha macarons and bubble tea croissants.

Nothing pairs quite so well with a warm cuppa than a good old chin wag, and you’ll get that too, with a number of talks and workshops held throughout the day. The schedule will include a tea and cheese pairing by Flag & Spear and a masterclass with Vue de Monde’s tea sommelier, Thibaut Chuzeville, who will host a tasting of his favourite world-class teas.
The Melbourne Tea Festival will be held Sunday, July 21 at Meat Market, 3 Blackwood Street, North Melbourne. The day will be split into two sessions, a morning tea from 9am – 1pm and afternoon tea from 1:30pm – 5:30pm. Tickets are priced at $28.95.
