Your days of slaving over a hot oven are over, Nelson’s Distillery has just launched a new Christmas Dinner Gin that tastes like roast turkey with all the trimmings.

That’s right, no need to brine, bake or baste the annual bird, all you’ll need to do this year is open a bottle.

The new spirit is said to taste of smoky roast turkey with hints of sweet cranberry and sage stuffing. Seconds anyone? There’s at least 30 serves in every bottle, which means you can invite the whole family to dinner this year, second cousins included.

It’s not a proper Christmas spread without sides, which is why Nelson’s Distillery has also released a Brussel Sprout Vodka to serve alongside. The green-tinged tipple reveals a nutty, cabbage-like flavour that perfectly complements the main course. For dessert, there’s Nelson’s Spiced Clementine Rum, which combines the warming taste of nutmeg with sweet and citrussy clementine for a liquid slice of pudding. With practically no washing up to do, you’re free to go and pass out on the floor somewhere afterwards.

Nelson’s Distillery master distiller Neil Harrison said: “As we come to the end of a truly challenging year, we wanted to deliver some very special Christmas gifts. Months of research and development has gone into this selection, which retains the premium quality of the Nelson’s range but with an added element of fun.”
