You don't score a 50,000-person waitlist for nothing.
The viral Ninja Slushi frozen drink maker is finally landing in Australia, but good luck getting your hands on one. The $499 kitchen gadget went bonkers online as the it item and quickly amassed a 50,000-person waitlist across Australia and New Zealand.
So what’s the big deal?
Fans of the Ninja Slushi reckon the drinks maker is worth the hype (and the coin) for its ability to create perfectly textured slushies at home without the need for ice, thanks to its RapidChill Technology. Not only does it freeze drinks without the need for ice, it sounds just like the must-have appliance of the future from a 1950s catalogue.

How does the Ninja Slushi work?
Simply pour in your liquid of choice, select one of five preset programs – Slush, Spiked Slush, Frappé, Milkshake, or Frozen Juice – and wait for your drink to transform in as little as 60 minutes. Pull the lever, and you’ve got frozen marg’s, frosé, frozen daiquiris, and probably juice and milkshakes too if that’s how you roll.
The Ninja Slushi is available now at selected retailers from RRP $499, check stocks online – quickly!
