There are plenty of good reasons to drink a Negroni next week. Not only is it officially Negroni Week, a seven-day celebration where bars donate a portion of their Negroni sales to charity, but this year also marks the classic cocktail’s 100-year birthday. It’s also just a really good drink. To celebrate this fine calendar event, Melbourne distillery, Four Pillars Gin, will release four bottled Negronis, each inspired by a different Australian landscape. The limited edition drinks will be available to buy from their distillery, online, and from four exclusive pop-up stores in Vic, NSW, Qld and WA.
No. 2 Coastal Negroni
This fresh, coastal Negroni is perfect for sipping by the sea. It’s made from Four Pillar’s limited edition Underground Sydney Gin, Italicus, Suze, samphire, seablite and saltbush.
No. 3 Metropolitan Negroni
Boasting roasted coffee and toasted bread flavours, the Metropolitan Negroni is made from Four Pillar’s Spiced Negroni Gin, Campari, coffee bean and burnt toast.
No. 4 Desert Negroni
This Negroni brings together Bloody Shiraz Gin, Campari, charred blood plum and desert lime to create a bright, bold and distinctive Negroni inspired by the deserts of Australia.
Where to buy
Four Pillars Negronis can be purchased during Negroni Week, which runs from June 24 – June 30, 2019. You can pick up a bottle from Four Pillars Distillery in Healesville, their website, or from one of four special pop-up stores, located at: Garden State Hotel, Flinders Lane (VIC), The Dolphin Hotel, Crown Street, Surry Hills (NSW), Cru Bar + Cellar, James Street, Fortitude Valley (QLD), Tiny’s, QV1 Plaza, Perth (WA). Negronis are priced at $28 each or $100 for a 4 x 200ml pack. During Negroni Week, one dollar from every Negroni sold at the Four Pillars distillery and website will go to OzHarvest. Partnering venues will be supporting charities of their choice.
