Get some fire in your belly.
Need some consoling after the finale of Game of Thrones or just something to sip on as you restart the series from episode one? Next month, Johnnie Walker is set to release two new limited-edition Scotch whiskies, A Song of Ice and A Song of Fire, inspired by the two rivalling houses, Stark and Targaryen.
Whisky drinkers are invited to declare their allegiance, choosing between House Stark, a crisp and fresh whisky represented by the fearsome Direwolf or House Targaryen, a rich and spicy dram, personified by a fire-breathing dragon.

Much like Winterfell’s positioning in Westeros, A Song of Ice is crafted using whiskies from Clynelish, one of Scotland’s most northern distilleries, lending a crisp, clean taste to the Scotch. The whisky’s delicate flavour is grassy, with notes of vanilla and tropical fruit akin to the fruit from the orchards of Dorne.
From the opposing team, A Song of Fire boasts flavours of subtle smoke from the peated malts of the Caol Ila distillery. Synonymous with the House in which it hails from, A Song of Fire’s full-bodied flavour delivers subtle red fruit, sweet smoke and a hint of spice like those laden in the markets of Meereen.
Johnnie Walker A Song of Ice and A Song of Fire will hit liquor stores nationwide this October 2019. Bottles are priced at $69.99 for 700ml.
