Merivale has launched a sommelier hotline for all your pressing wine questions

Merivale at Home

Simply share what you're eating and they'll tell you what to pair with it.

Have a wine question that just can’t wait? Merivale is now offering its team of sommeliers on speed dial.  Simply send through your enquiry and you’ll get a buzz back, either by master sommelier, Franck Moreau, or another somm or barman from the team.

People can use the service for any wine or beverage-related questions, Moreau says.

“So far, people have been asking about wines to cellar at home, as well as special bottle recommendations for birthdays and anniversaries.”

Naturally, the somms can chat through the Merivale wine list, however, they are also happy to answer your broader questions, and even track down bottles they don’t even sell.

“It’s a special service we’re offering, and it goes beyond what you would usually find at a wine retailer.”

If you’re looking to buy, the Merivale at Home bottle shop sells all the wines from all its restaurants, at around 40% off the menu price.

Anything you choose from the Merivale cellar can be delivered in Sydney within 24 hours. “We have a van driving around the city six days a week, so if it’s a special delivery, we can get it there very quickly,” Moreau says.

Choose a single bottle or try a monthly wine box, which comes with 3, 6 or 12 wines. Beyond the vino, the Merivale bottle shop also sells pre-batched aperitifs and cocktails to make at home, including 500ml bottles of Totti’s negroni, Bert’s martini and Fred’s old fashioned.
