Set the scene for a night of drinking.
Inspired by one of the world’s greatest cultural icons, Archie Rose has collaborated with the Sydney Opera House to create a dramatic two-act gin release (audience gasps).
“It was pretty daunting to capture and adequately pay tribute to the outside and inside of the Opera House in a bottle, but it was a challenge we were really excited to take on,” says Archie Rose master distiller, Dave Withers.
Each of the gins use individually distilled botanicals to capture the interior and exterior of the landmark structure.

The first act, the Inside Gin, pays tribute to the building’s timeless design as well as the dynamism and drama of the venue’s theatrical and operatic performances.
The fruit-driven gin displays a bright, positive summery character and presents a cast of botanicals including native thyme, Australian apricot, raspberry and strawberry gum.
For part two, the Outside Gin focuses on the natural harbour environment which surrounds the Opera House.
The juniper-forward gin is accented with lemon-scented gum, South Australian yuzu, finger limes, white grapefruit, locally foraged seablite and native seaweed, creating a perfect balance between saltiness and sweetness.

The gins will be showcased at the Sydney Opera House’s bars and restaurants, including Opera Kitchen, Portside Sydney and Bennelong, as well as nearby Circular Quay and city venues.
Archie Rose Inside Gin and Outside Gin are priced at $99 for a 700ml bottle and are available to buy from bottle shops and the Archie Rose distillery and website from October 1. For more details, head to archierose.com.au.
