And you can bet shiraz we’re excited about it.
Beloved by wine and gin devotees alike, Four Pillars’ now-famed Bloody Shiraz Gin has become a staple of the well-stocked spirits trolleys and bars of many a home around the country (for those quick enough to snap up the highly sought-after drop, that is).
Now, an ice-cool collaboration with beloved Pepita’s Ice Cream sees the red-grape-hued liquid become everyone’s new favourite sorbet flavour.
Like an edible cocktail, the dessert is made on a base of lemon sorbet, to which the grapey gin is mixed through to infuse the frozen treat. Next, a light sprinkling of ruby grapefruit peel is added during the churn – representing the garnish served on a Four Pillars ‘Bloody & Lemon’ concoction.
The slightly boozy gelato comes just a few weeks after the launch of the sparkling new 2021 Bloody Shiraz Gin. A 250ml sorbet serving is priced at $8.00 and you can pick up a tub to-go from their Surry Hills laboratory.
Team your Pepita’s scoops with a glass of ‘Bloodlust’, Four Pillars’ bottled cocktail. A spin on the negroni, the cocktail begins with a Bloody Shiraz Gin base, combined with blood plums and blood limes. Added to this is Oscar Vermouth 697 and a dash of burnt coffee bean from All Press. You can thank us later for levelling up your lockdown.
Head to the Four Pillars Gin Laboratory in Surry Hills to purchase the Bloody & Lemon Sorbet, as well as a range of gins, pre-batched cocktails, and wine for takeaway.
