Home delivery has never been so popular. Takeaway meals, booze, and flatpack furniture (kudos IKEA) are now the norm. But shortly, just as you can demand a curry and a bottle of red to arrive to your couch, you can also call for a bartender.

Drinks delivery company Jimmy Brings has partnered with gin connoisseurs Tanqueray on a special new service. Dubbed Ginny Brings, the delivery option will see a bartender arrive within 30 minutes of order to make gin and tonics for you and your friends. Launching on December 1 at 12.00pm, Ginny Brings will be available for five weekends in December in Sydney alone.

Those who live in select postcodes across the Eastern Suburbs will be able to go in a draw to win a visit from Tanqueray’s Cocktail Mixologist, Krystal Hart, with winners selected every 30 minutes both online and via the Jimmy Brings app. Those that aren’t selected, as well as all 185 Sydney suburbs where Jimmy Brings already operate, will be able to console themselves with the full selection of Tanqueray gins available to purchase.

But why you may ask? Well it’s a celebration of Australia’s ongoing passion for gin says Hart, as well as a chance to educate on how to make the perfect gin and tonic. “Australia’s love affair with gin is stronger than ever, but despite its incredible popularity many of us are struggling to make the perfect G&T at home. As we approach the summer party season, we want to give Aussie gin fans the opportunity to enjoy their perfect drink, as well as the confidence of having the right ingredients to make it at home.”
