And it's so Hot Right Now.

British superstar Rita Ora is taking tequila right to the top with the launch of her award-winning Próspero Tequila into Australian bottle stores.

Designed for sipping or mixing, rather than shooting or slamming, the blue agave spirit is made by Mexican master distiller, Stella Anguiano, at the Don Roberto Distillery in Jalisco, Mexico, within the Tequila Valley.

The new tipple comes in three expressions, the Próspero Tequila Blanco (unaged), Prospero Tequila Reposado (“rested” for six months) and the Prospero Tequila Añejo (aged 12 months).

The unaged Próspero Blanco is rich in aromas and bright tones, making it the perfect pour for cocktails like a Margarita or Paloma. Not your usual entry-level spirit, Próspero Blanco was awarded a coveted gold medal in last year’s Best Blanco category at the World Tequila Awards.

On the next rung up, the “rested” Prospero Reposado reveals a distinct golden colour, with rich round notes of vanilla, white flowers and lingering spice. It also placed silver in the Best Reposada category at the 2020 World Tequila Awards.

At the top of the shelf, the Próspero Añejo boasts flavours of spice, toasted caramel, cacao and roasted fruit.

“I’m so excited that Australians are falling in love with Próspero and exploring the beauty of hand-crafted, premium tequila,” Rita Ora said.

“Although I have been a tequila lover for years, I hadn’t really thought about doing a drinks collaboration. That was before I met Stella in Mexico. We had a real connection and I felt inspired by her passion. Her family has been making tequila for years and she really felt it was important to branch out on her own and make name for herself. I was so moved by her story and connecting with her really solidified my desire to do this collaboration.”

Próspero Tequila Blanco ($69.99), Prospero Tequila Reposado ($74.99) and Prospero Tequila Añejo ($79.99) are available to purchase from Dan Murphy’s and BWS exclusively.
