Why choose between them when you can have both at once.
While some people are content to have a glass of wine followed by a cup of tea, or vice versa, the fine folk at Pernod Ricard have given us the option of having both at the same time.
Fans of both tea and wine could potentially love or loathe the new launch, which combines two of the world’s favourite beverages in one bottle.
The Australian-made range comes in two varieties, an unoaked chardonnay infused with chamomile and a cabernet sauvignon spiked with a Sri Lankan-style chai tea blend. The offerings are made using local grapes blended with high-quality organic teas, supplied by The Rabbit Hole Organic Tea Bar in Sydney.
Tea & Wine spokesperson, Helene Herges said: “Infusion is when you carefully combine ingredients to enhance a base. In our case, the base is beautiful Australian chardonnay and cabernet grapes that we infuse with bespoke loose-leaf organic tea blends to lift and intensify flavour and aroma. We experimented with many ways of infusing the delicate notes of tea into wine and finally after years of research discovered the best method to find the perfect integration.”
Tea & Wine is available from selected Dan Murphy’s stores nationally for $22.
