Not just convenient and quaffable, a new range of artist-designed wine boxes is proving the goon bag can be stylish too.

Winesmiths has just released a range of limited edition 2-litre wine packs designed by Australian street-artist, Mulga, perfect for your next park picnic or quiet night in. Each brightly coloured box has been illustrated with iconic Aussie animals, including a surfboard-riding seagull, skateboarding cockatoo, and sunglass-wearing ibis, giving the old school Fruity Lexia a dramatic new look.

“I love summer times and creating funky characters who exhibit that larrikin Australian sensibility, and if my art brings a smile to your dial, I’m happy,” Mulga said.

The range includes all the Aussie favourites – sav blanc, sem sav blanc, pinot grigio and shiraz – with each cask lasting for several weeks in the fridge, minimising wine wastage.

The limited-edition designed packs are available to purchase individually from liquor stores nationwide (inc Dan Murphys) throughout July and August 2021 for $16 or buy the set of four online for $64 from winesmiths.com.au.
