Eat Out

Aldi is letting you build your own Christmas hamper this year

Whatever the occasion, a food hamper is an easy gift. The problem is, most of the ones out there are filled with novelty products that no one actually wants. Whether it’s a tiny jar of jam or a boring bag of beer nuts, there’s always a handful of items that end up at the back of the cupboard for many Christmases to come.

This year, Aldi is making it easy for customers to build their own hamper. To get started, simply buy the basket ($7.99) and fill it with your favourite things, from olives and cheeses to chocolate, wine, spirits, mince pies and puddings, whatever you fancy. There’s also festive fillings ($1.49) to zhush it up, including cellophane, tissue paper, ribbons, and coloured bedding.

Nicole Higgins from Aldi said: “Building your own hamper is a thoughtful, creative and cost-effective present idea. The best bit about
building a hamper is that you can create an ultra-personal gift that really shows your loved-one how well you know them, with products curated just for them! A hamper is a great and thoughtful gift idea for the
giving season!”

You can build your own Aldi food hamper in-store or online.
