The restaurant just opened last year.
Alanna Sapwell’s waterfront restaurant ARC Dining and Wine Bar is closing its doors permanently due to a negative downturn of business following the COVID-19 outbreak.
The highly-acclaimed restaurant was ranked no. 1 in the delicious. 100 for QLD last year and was a favourite among diners at the Howard Smith Wharves.
“I’m devastated by the closure of ARC Dining. It’s been incredible to see the team grow and develop over the last year. I’m proud of them and hope we can work together again in the future,” head chef Alanna Sapwell commented.
“In this challenging time for the industry, if you can, please support in any way possible – order take away, buy a gift card or make a reservation for the future to prevent other restaurants forced to face the same choice.”.
While many restaurants and bars are experiencing a downturn of business, ARC Dining is the first high profile restaurant closure in Brisbane. You can continue to support the hospitality industry by either dining out or ordering in, with many venues now offering pick-up and takeaway for the first time. Find the full list here. The remaining restaurants at Howard Smith Wharves are trading as usual.
