Sydney’s beloved brotherhood of Bearded Bakers are making the pilgrimage to The Rocks this month for their latest pop-up event – an immersive dinner inspired by the Old City in Jerusalem.
The event will be held in collaboration with 6Head, a premium steakhouse at the newly refurbished Campbell’s Stores on the edge of Sydney Harbour.
Expect a lavish affair, with the Bearded Bakers putting on a multi-course feast of Levantine favourites, including handmade mountain bread with baba ghanough and hummus, lobster and caviar shish barak dumplings, and sumac-spiced Musakhan chicken, to the sounds of Arabian Oud and Darbuka music.

It wouldn’t be a 6Head event without a seriously impressive slab of meat, which comes in the form of a tomahawk steak infused with Middle Eastern spices.
For dessert – you guessed it. The Bearded Bakers will, of course, be bringing their famous knafeh with them. For those yet to try it, the traditional Middle Eastern dessert is made from sweet cheese soaked in syrup and topped with golden kataifi pastry.

6Head x The Bearded Bakers “The Old City” will be held on Wednesday, February 24 at 6pm. Tickets are priced at $250 per person, with a minimum booking size of four persons. For more details or to book, head to 6head.com.au/events/theoldcity.
