Missing your favourite marshmallow log?
Australians have been waiting over a decade for their favourite marshmallow log to be returned to its rightful place on supermarket shelves.
And that day is nearing, my friends. The beloved bar is set to go into production this year, following a recent cash injection to Robern Menz confectionery factory in Glynde, South Australia.
Menz will recreate the beloved bar using the original 1947 recipe, and we can trust him with this sacred job because he also makes Violet Crumble.
His manufacturing business is just one of several that will receive a grant from the government to help create new jobs during the coronavirus pandemic. The Polly Waffle production line will see 38 new jobs created.
Polly Waffles were originally made in 1947 by Hoadley’s Chocolates in Melbourne and were later bought by Rowntree’s, then Nestle.
