We can already smell those sausages sizzling.
While Victoria is currently in lockdown, across the country in Western Australia, they are already planning to bring the Bunning’s barbecue back.
No trip to the hardware giant is complete without a breakfast snag wrapped in white bread with a squirt of sauce, with all proceeds donated to local community groups.
“We know people are missing our community sausage sizzles and we are working on a careful plan to bring them back in places where restrictions have eased,” Bunnings chief operating officer Deb Poole said.
“We are consulting with governments and our charity partners to ensure we bring them back in a way that’s safe for everyone.
“We hope to have them back up and running in WA towards the end of the month pending final checks and consultation.”
Wanneroo Sports and Social Club member Campbell Pudney has confirmed he’s already booked a Bunnings barbecue for August 1.
