Winter is coming.

Sydney’s best farmer’s market, Carriageworks, is teaming up with SMEG and delicious. for the kind of winter market that’s worth leaving the house for.

On Saturday 19 June, from 8am-1pm, there’ll be live cooking demonstrations, terrific truffles, plus a pop-up bar – as well as the usual fantastic produce that you can get every week.  And best of all, it’s free.

If you can’t splurge on the fare at Mimi’s, take in executive chef Jordan Toft’s cooking demo using market produce and then recreate the dish at home. For dessert, follow the lead of Sonoma pastry chef, Alejandro Luna. What are they making? You’ll have to turn up to find out.

One of the best things about winter is truffles. The luxe ingredient sounds daunting for home-cooks, but they shine in simple dishes such as scrambled eggs and creamy pasta. The founders of Hartley Truffles will chat with delicious. editor, Samantha Jones, about how far a small nugget of the fancy ingredient can go.
