Roll up the cuffs for a good cause.
Some of Australia’s top executives will be leading a corporate takeover of the kitchen next month as part of the annual OzHarvest CEO CookOff.
The yearly event sees corporate and culinary talent work together to put on a feast for the country’s most vulnerable, including those impacted by bushfires, droughts, and floods.
Some of the stellar chefs taking part this year include Matt Moran, Neil Perry, Peter Gilmore, Colin Fassnidge, Josh Niland, Jacqui Challinor, and Anna Polyviou, to name a few. On the business end, Justin Hemmes will be rolling up the cuffs, alongside senior executives from Australia Post, Virgin Australia, Woolworths, CBA, Domain, Facebook, The Star, and more.
OzHarvest Founder and CEO, Ronni Kahn said the 2020 CookOff will give people a tangible way to take action in the current crisis. “Community is more important than ever and this year it will be top of our menu! This event turns the tables on most fundraisers as it puts those who are usually eating a gourmet dinner in the kitchen cooking it!”
For renowned chef and OzHarvest ambassador Clayton Donovan, the event has a special place in his heart having experienced homelessness as a child. “It’s tough out there, so just being able to put a smile on someone’s face – it’s like Christmas.”
This year’s flagship fundraiser will be Food Crisis Relief, with money raised going towards food support for Australia’s fire and drought-affected communities. This year, the event hopes to raise $3 million, which will translate to six million meals delivered to those in need.
The 2020 CEO CookOff will be held on Monday, March 30 at Carriageworks, Sydney. For more information or to register, head to ceocookoff.com.au.
