The creator of the world-famous strawberry and watermelon cake, Christopher Thé, has launched his own line of small-batch sourdough goods, for an artisan bakery experience at home.

The founder of Black Star Pastry has teamed up with Salt Meats Cheese for the new This Is Us range, which includes sourdough crumpets and English muffins by Thé and hand-stretched pizza bases by Salt Meats Cheese.

Both the crumpets and the muffins are made using single-origin flour from Tamworth, and boast a deliciously chewy mouthfeel, with large holes from the long and slow fermentation.

The English muffins are taller than the supermarket variety, and have crunchy tops and bottoms with a soft, tangy centre. The crumpets reveal a complex depth of flavour and can be used for both sweet and savoury toppings.

This Is Us by Christopher Thé is now available at Harris Farm supermarkets.
