Just in: Dan Murphy’s adds 2,000 new products to shelves

Dan Murphy's.

Including cult buys like Ink Gin, Gingerbread Gin and Jasmine Rum Tea.

Thousands of new beers, wines and spirits are being rushed into Dan Murphy’s stores to help the booze behemoth keep up with demand.

Not only will that mean more alcohol on the shelves, but it also represents a lifeline for hundreds of small producers hit hard by the coronavirus restrictions.

While it can usually take up to 12 months to get a product into Dan Murphy’s, at the moment it’s taking just weeks, with many small producers being offered a fast-tracked arrangement.

“We have been reaching out and continue to work closely with producers and industry bodies to see how we can provide support to suppliers in these difficult times,” said Steve Donohue, the managing director of Endeavour Drinks, the parent company behind Dan Murphy’s and BWS.

“Our success as a business relies on the outstanding products that producers around the country create and supply us with, and it’s important that we do as much as we can to support them during this time of crisis.”

Some of the new products will include Husk Distillery’s Ink Gin, Craft & Co’s Gingerbread Gin and Jasmine Rum Tea, Manly Spirits Co’s Pink Gin, as well as beers by Blasta Brewing and Sparkke.

The new products will be available both instore and online.
