Or five people in your own home.
Premier Daniel Andrews has announced that Victoria will begin easing its coronavirus restrictions as of midnight tomorrow.
From Tuesday, May 12 at 11:59pm, Victorians will be permitted to have five non-household guests in their homes.
“We’re asking Victorians to limit their circle to just family and friends. That means that when we do have outbreaks and positive cases – and we will – we can test and trace and effectively contain the spread,” Mr. Andrews said.
“It’s not about having a rotating roster of acquaintances and associates – or your third-best friend from primary school – over for a visit.
“This is about seeing those you need to – if you need to.”
Up to 10 people will also be permitted to gather outdoors, subject to physical distancing guidelines.
“Groups of 10 will be allowed to go outside to engage in activities such as hiking, jogging, kicking the footy,” Mr. Andrews said.
Weddings will be able to have ten guests, while 20 can attend a funeral indoors, and 30 can attend one outdoors.
Some national parks and state parks will reopen, however, camping trips will be off the cards.
“There’s no overnight stay, but if you want to drive to the beach to have a surf, or you want to go and visit family and friends you can do that.”
The new restrictions will be effective until 11.59pm on May 31, 2020, when they will be reassessed.
