If you want a last bowl of their pigs head macaroni, you better be quick.

ACME, a Rushcutters Bay pasta bar by Mitch Orr and Cam Michaels, has announced that it will close its doors next month.

It marks the second punch in the gut for Sydneysiders, with Thai fine diner Longrain also revealing that it will shut up shop in June.

While just five years old, the neighbourhood restaurant had a big impact on the Sydney dining scene, thanks to its out-of-the-box pasta creations, it’s most notable being their slow-braised pigs head macaroni with an egg yolk peeping out of the centre.

“We’re open until the end of June which doesn’t leave much time if you’ve been planning a trip to come visit us. I’m really looking forward to seeing all of our regulars, one-timers and new-timers in the next few weeks. Expect lots of hugs and fun times!” Cam Michaels said.

In its final weeks, ACME plans to change up the menu to include all their best-selling dishes.  Here’s hoping they’ve made room for the baloney sandwich and Malteser ice-cream with candied bacon.
