The nation’s top 100 eateries has been revealed today, recognising and celebrating the best-in-class eats and treats across New South Wales, Victoria, Queensland, South Australia, and – for the first time – Tasmania.

Determined by almost 50,000 reader votes, the delicious. 100 list has highlighted the public’s favourite eateries in each state across 20 of the most-searched food categories – from dumplings and pizza to ice cream and vanilla slice.

Cult classic Lune Croissanterie was voted as having the best croissant in Victoria, while Sydney’s inner-west institution Marrickville Pork Roll took out the top spot for New South Wales’ best banh mi.

Regional hidden gems have shone just as brightly,  with Hayden’s Pies in Ulladulla taking out the top spot in New South Wales for the state’s best pie, Kenilworth Country Bakery coming in at number one for doughnuts in Queensland and The Stunned Mullet in Henley Beach named as having the best fish and chips in South Australia.

Foodie state South Australia and delicious. 100 first-timer Tasmania had the highest volume of votes, with ice cream and pizza bringing in the most votes, respectively.

This year’s delicious. 100 list underwent an exciting transformation in response to the cost-of-living pressures faced by Australian consumers, with the new format shifting the spotlight to more affordable and diverse dining options. First curated by nominations from the public and the food experts from Australia’s premier food title, delicious., the final list has been decided by reader votes.
