If last night's cucumber challenge didn't really do it for you, get ready to be tempted by carbs and more carbs.
Jock announces it’s Meet The Masters Week in the MasterChef kitchen, a chance for the contestants to meet the less famous chefs that can actually cook.
Tonight, that is pasta master Andreas Papadakis from Tipo 00 and Osteria Illaria, who will be demonstrating how to make hand-rolled pasta at home and setting a pasta challenge.

If last night’s cucumber challenge didn’t really do it for you, get ready to be tempted by carbs and even more carbs. If you have any Barilla in the cupboard, you’ll want to get it boiling right about now.
Contestants are split into six teams of three, and each team must cook a three-course meal in 75 minutes. And the best part? Two pasta courses, which is, quite frankly, how every meal should be.
Nobody did the tiktok pasta?? #masterchefau

Aaron and Brent are paired up with Elyse, and they can’t believe their luck, it’s like winning an immunity pin.
With so many pasta-bilities, four out of the six teams go for ragu, with each creating a beef, pork, lamb and osso bucco version, but it’s a decision they will soon come to regret.
Ragu is todays cucumber granita. #MasterChefAU

And if that’s not enough creativity for you, six out of six teams are making ice cream with tuilles assembled in the shape of a pyramid for dessert.
But there are some teams taking risks. Conor from the blue team is making a “Northern Italian” pasta called hilopites with salmoriglio, shaved feta and fried capers and Papadakis is here for it. “Great looking dish, the sauce I think blended together really well.”
Not everyone gets the same feedback. The green, pink and brown teams are criticised for their hastily-made ragus, which are underdeveloped in flavour.

But it’s Dan’s “linguine” impasta that brings the pink team down.

“The irregular shape of the linguine let your whole dish down, and in a pasta challenge that’s always going to send you into the pressure test,” says Andy.
Join MasterChef tomorrow night, when Dan, Therese, Justin and Brent go head to head in a dessert pressure test set by chocolate queen, Kirsten Tibballs.
And for those actually watching the ads:
Imagine showing up to @khanhong’s house for dinner and he serves you a lite n easy!!?! Devo. #masterchefau
