Or at least they should have.
The judges announce that it’s Beat The Brigade Week in the MasterChef kitchen.
Every night this week, the contestants will take on a team of top chefs from one of Melbourne’s best restaurants in a service challenge.
Competing today is Adam D’Sylva and the team from Tonka, who will cook against the powerhouse that is Depinder, Elise, Eric and Linda.

Each team has two-and-a-half hours to cook a three-course meal, featuring Mexican as the entrée, Indian as the main and French as the dessert.
This is the weirdest 3 course menu ever! #MasterChefAU

Adam is back for redemption having lost his last MasterChef challenge to Larissa Takchi back in 2019.
For the entrees, D’Sylva’s team creates a not-very-Mexican-but-still-delicious-looking steak tartare with tortilla chips while the pink team goes for a slightly-more-Mexican-but-still-not-Mexican kingfish ceviche – which Adam actually fillets for them.
Thank you Chef for saving that fish from Eric’s wrath #Masterchefau

For the main course, both teams are creating pretty much the same seafood curry. D’Sylva’s team appears to have the advantage here, with the pink team stinging out with just two measly prawns per plate.
I’m sorry but no amount of eggplant can hide the fact a main dish only has TWO PRAWNS!! #MasterChefAU

To finish, Elise’s baked plums with custard goes head-to-head with a three Michelin-starred pastry chef’s Breton sable with raspberry and pistachio parfait and gold leaf.

With the professionals taking out the desserts and the pink team taking out the entrees, it comes down to the curries, with Depinder’s prawn curry having the edge.
Look, this seem too close to call. Can’t we just say everyone had a fun time and call it a night?

For the best possible vibes, we suggest turning off the TV and going to bed now.
But if you must know, it’s a win for the home side, which means the pink team has won immunity from Sunday night’s elimination.
I like everyone in pink team, but I also like Adam D’Sylva. Can’t everyone win? 🥺 #MasterChefAU

It’s also a win for the Tonka team, who have proven they can plate up some pretty incredible food, while also being kind and having fun at the same time. Group hug everyone!
Adam D’Sylva giving us a Masterclass in human kindness 😍😍😍 #MasterChefAU
