Get ready to see a completely new side to Justin and Andy.
The top ten contestants arrive at Urbnsurf, the home to Australia’s first-ever surf park in Melbourne’s west to discover they will be running Andy Allen’s restaurant, Three Blue Ducks.
The restaurant’s reputation is at stake, never mind the fact that its owner doesn’t wear socks and its food deliveries come from Coles.
We have to protect the reputation of this food kiosk at a artificial surfing pool in Tullamarine! #MasterChefAU

Jock reveals that there will be no elimination until the end of the week. Instead, there are two chances to win their way to immunity, and naturally, they will be the biggest and best immunity challenges ever *cue exploding fireball*.
In today’s first chance, the contestants are split into two teams for a service challenge. Pete, Scott, Depinder, Sabina and Elise are assigned to the blue team, while Kishwar, Linda, Justin, Minoli and Tommy are on green.
The blue team must prepare a surf menu for 80 diners while the green team must prepare a turf menu for 80.
It’s unclear why, but the blue team is punishing Scott for some unrelated matter, forcing him to remove the poop shute from some 180 prawns.
Sure, they could have made scallops instead or basically any other sea creature, but it’s clear they wanted Scott to suffer.
I don’t why all these years later there are still people that choose to cook prawns in a service challenge for 80 people. #MasterChefAU

Justin takes on the role of team captain. After winning the first spot in the top ten, the youth pastor has a newfound confidence, and he’s coming up with ideas and speaking in sentences in a way we never thought possible. He’s completely unrecognisable from the guy who just a few weeks ago didn’t know the difference between orange and red.
What the hell is this?! What happened to Justin? He’s been holding out on us this entire time. #MasterChefAU

It’s a similar story for Andy too. It turns out, the guy that they bring in to flip coins has another side too, one that is helpful, professional and coherent.
Andy has been UNBELIEVABLY helpful tonight! He should treat every episode like a service challenge at his restaurant, so much teaching and learning happening here. This is growth! More please! #MasterChefAU

Under Justin’s direction, the green team plate up a Middle Eastern charcoal chicken with zhug and beef cheeks in ras el hanout and tomato sauce, and the judges declare it to be fully sick.
The blue team plate up butterflied prawns with Mexican spiced butter and charred pineapple with Mexican rice, which is also sick. But for the main course, they forget to gut the flounder, which is sick too, but not in a good way.
GUTTED. Unlike that fish. #MasterChefAU

And that’s why, the green team will be going through to an immunity challenge tomorrow night, which will see them compete in a Queen vanilla-sponsored challenge.
