Quandong Seed Necklace Brothers for life.
On last night’s episode of MasterChef, four of the best cooks in the comp are pitted against each other in an elimination challenge at Simpson’s Gap.
Which means, either Depinder, Pete, Kishwar or Tommy will be going home before Justin – it’s the twist that no one saw coming.
Good evening to everyone except whoever grouped Depinder, Pete, Kishwar and Tommy in an elimination round together. #masterchefau

The judges introduce the contestants to Raylene Brown, a local indigenous food expert who shows them the amazing variety of bush foods that have been foraged from the local area. The contestants have 75 minutes to create a dish using the foraged food, with the least impressive dish sender its maker home.
And please let it not be Tommy, or Pete, or Kishwar, or Depinder. Fingers crossed for a four-way tie.
🕯 an ‘everyone did so well, nobody is going home’ result 🕯 #MasterChefAU

In a classic ‘Pete’ move, Pete decides to use literally all of the native ingredients and nothing else – and if it was anyone else we’d be worried. But let’s not forget, he’s pulled off mushroom juice before. He can do anything.
Pete decides to save the seeds from his quandong sauce to make a gang necklace for Justin, so they can further intimidate the other contestants with their trash talk (“that is rude and unnecessary,” being a prime example).
Police in the Northern Territory have been alerted to the emergence of a new gang just outside of Alice Springs. The Quandong Seed Necklace Brothers should not be approached as they are known to be dangerously likeable and great cooks. #MasterChefAU

Suddenly, the wind picks up, adding an extra soil element to everyone’s dish.
Tommy has decided to make a kangaroo tartare with lavosh crisps but somehow spends the entire 75-minute cook dicing the kangaroo, leaving little time for anything else.
The judges love it, however, the rock wallabies are not so impressed.
Forget the forced bromance. Tommy/Fish sauce is the real OTP of this season. #MasterChefAU

Depinder delivers a take on Italian caprese salad, which combines bush tomatoes with a warrigal greens pesto and homemade damper.
Can’t help but feel @trent_vu would have nailed the whole “make sure you taste the native ingredients” part of the brief after his Lemon Myrtle use early on #MasterchefAU

It looks pretty delicious really, but unfortunately, it’s not enough to save the former favourite from elimination.
The judges and contestants say goodbye, as she wanders off into the desert, never to be seen again.
Join us tonight for one of the toughest mystery box challenges in MasterChef history, apparently.
