Grate news! European cheese festival Bon Fromage returns for 2020

Bon Fromage.

And this year, they're giving out 500g packs of cheese for free.

Do you like to spend your evenings gorging on cheese at home? Bon Fromage is making it festival official. That’s right, your Friday night cheese-eating plans are now part of a legitimate event.

For the first time, the annual homage to fromage is heading online. The festival will be stretched out over a week and will include a number of masterclasses and interactive demonstrations run by famous fromagers, including France’s best Cheesemongers, François Robin, as well as local cheese champions, like Anthony Femia from Maker and Monger, and Sam and Ellie Studd.

Enough talk, what about the cheese? This year, there will be an impressive 1.5 tonnes of European cheeses up for grabs and no one around to watch you scoff the lot. Turophiles can choose from four Gourmet Tasting Packs, which contain five hand-picked French cheeses, totalling 500g, with options for blue lovers, soft and creamy fans and those who like it strong and stinky. The cheese packs are free, all you have to pay is a $20 flat rate for the refrigerated shipping.

Still have room? For the curd connoisseurs, there will also be a limited selection of VIP packs, curated by the likes of Simon Johnson, Adelaide’s Smelly Cheese Shop and The Drink Hive priced from $85 – $140.

Bon Fromage will run from Saturday 21 – Sunday 29, November 2020. To view the program or register, head to: europeancheeses.com.au/bon-fromage-festival.
